7Data Retention & Deletion

Kv8 retains your personal information only for as long as necessary for the stated purposes or as required by Malaysian law. We do not store data beyond the required retention period.

• Active Account Data: For as long as your account remains active, all personal information and transaction records will be retained to ensure seamless service delivery.
• After Account Closure: Identity information and financial records are retained for a minimum of 7 years after account closure, in line with Malaysia's applicable financial and tax regulatory requirements.
• Log & Security Data: System access logs and security records are retained for 2 years for investigation and audit purposes when required.
• Communications Data: Customer support conversation records are retained for 3 years for reference and service quality improvement.
• Post-Expiry Deletion: Once the retention period expires, data is securely deleted using industry-standard data erasure methods, ensuring it cannot be recovered.

For data no longer required for day-to-day operations, KV8 applies an anonymisation process to remove all personally identifiable elements, allowing aggregated data to be retained for analytical purposes without involving your personal information.

8Privacy Policy Amendment

Kv8 reserves the right to update or amend this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our business practices, applicable legal requirements, or improvements in how we protect your data.
